So I have come to realize that over the years I have trained myself to make websites by following standards.
I was under the impression that these standards were not a requirement, but you would be considered an amateur if you couldn’t follow them.
Recently I have realized that what I do is above and beyond what most people expect from a website but it’s hard to notice the background work unless you know what to look for.
If a website looks exactly the same in all browsers on all platforms, I have done my job. Most people take that for granted, but honestly there are a LOT of people out there claiming they can make a website who cant meet that standard.
Alongside that anyone who reads any of my work in code would actually understand what’s going on and how to manage of update it.
Why do so many others not know how to meet simple standards?
